The Founder
Fourteen years ago, I founded and exited my first company, a circular-economy venture — early work that taught me how systems can be built to sustain rather than extract. That lesson carried me to Oxford, for a Master's in Sustainable Development, and from there into the United Nations, working where human development meets global policy.
Then came the wildcard: joining Telegram Messenger as its first head of external and government relations, and building the function from nothing. Within a few years I was representing one of the world's fastest-growing communications platforms to governments and institutions across multiple continents, building the working relationships with Europol and the European Commission that let the platform take real, measurable action on the content it was being asked to address.
Through the raises, the jurisdictions, the crises with no playbook, I kept watching what the digital age was quietly doing to people: their attention, their relationships, their sense of self, while the systems around them optimised for everything except their humanity.
Ethos isn't a pivot. It's the response to everything I've seen.
